Four years ago the Townships of Machar and Strong and the Villages of South River and Sundridge decided working together we can be stronger in retaining local businesses and pursuing economic development. Central Almaguin Economic Development Association is focused on ensuring our social and environmental stability.
Guiding Principles: - Be an effective agent in the attraction, retention, and development of businesses or enterprises which contributes to the economic, social, and general well being of the communities;
- Act, as required, as a liaison between prospective business people and elected officials and municipal staffing;
- Be a catalyst for economic development initiatives for the municipalities;
- Make every effort to assure the local human and natural resources are utilized;
- Ensure the projects promoted compliment the preservation of our environment;
- Combine our communities’ complimentary strengths and weaknesses to provide greater synergy;
- Pool resources for investment attraction and economic development/marketing
