In attendance: Fred
DiSomma, Gary Donald, Deb Kurtzer-Johnston, Bill Booth, Kathy Whitfield, and
Tom Crane.
Fred reported that the new
Business Directory booklet was mailed out, and the feedback has been very
positive. 300 booklets were printed at a cost of $1.50 each, plus tax.
Some in attendance reported that they had not received the
booklet, and Gary said that the Post Office told him that some businesses have
a 'no flyer policy' on their mailboxes, so they were not given one.
The booklet is planned to be updated and finished by the end
of April. The number printed will be determined by the funding from CAEDA. Tom
suggested that the Booklet could be posted on the website, and businesses could
print it off themselves
A discussion then ensued as to how to distribute the
completed booklets in another way, and a plan to host two open
houses, one in South River and one in Sundridge in mid May.
Kathy will look into locations. Refreshments will be
provided by members.
Gary announced that he will
be moving soon, so it was decided by those present, including
Fred, that Fred will take over the position as Chairperson.
Those present thanked Gary for all of his hard work with the
CABC.
The next meeting is
scheduled for April 15, 2008, at 7 p.m. at the Sundridge Community Centre.
Meetings are planned for the third Tuesday of each month, up to and including
May.
Meeting ended at 8:15 p.m.
